Close-up picture of McArthur-Burney Falls at McArthur-Burney Falls State Park. Since the falls flows over an ancient lava flow the water filters through the porous volcanic rock framing the falls on either side with walls of 'mini-falls'.

Burney Creek dramatically cascades over McArthur-Burney Falls on its way to Britton Lake quietly nestled in a nearby depression.
There wasn't a whisper of a breeze the day I visited the park as can be seen by the mirror-like reflection in Britton Lake's still waters.
