Stanford's New Guinea Sculpture Garden

During the summer of 1994, artists from the Middle Sepik River region of Papua New Guinea created this garden. They ranged in age from 27 to 73 and came from two cultural groups, the Kwoma and the Iatmul. The project director was Jim Mason, a graduate student in anthropology at Stanford.

Point Lobos

A beautiful area with trails that wind through woods, marshes, beaches and cliffs. You can watch the seals in the water below the cliffs or play in the tide pools along the shore.

Big Basin

Big Basin Redwoods State Park with its miles of trails has the honor of being the oldest State Park in California. The park gives the feeling of the deep forest with huge redwoods so dense in some areas they create a twilight environment at midday. Watch out, the mosquitoes are huge too!

Here's the catch-all area with miscellaneous photographs that don't fit into the other exhibits.
Golden Gate Bridge

Well, what's more synonymous with San Francisco than the Golden Gate Bridge. For those who prefer color I've taken a few photographs that I hope you'll enjoy.

McArthur-Burney Falls State Park

McArthur-Burney Falls State Park is a nice quiet park about 60 miles north-east of Redding California. The centerpiece of the park it the 129 foot McArthur-Burney Falls the park is named for. There's also a nice lake with boating, a beach and swimming area. I went in January and found the park nearly empty and a bit cool at around 50°F.
